Unseen Angels

So just when I'm not entirely sure that I like people, an amazing thing happened. Mama started chemo last week and was given a quilt that was made by a group comprised of women who have survived cancer and family/friends of those stricken with this ugly disease. I believe it is the most beautiful quilt that I have ever seen. With it came a note saying that though they have never met, the quilt was made with love to let Mama know she is not alone in her battle. I am so grateful to these unseen angels because they made my Mama do something she hasn't done too often over the last couple of months - smile.

I have always wanted to learn to quilt, but now I feel like it is something that I have to do for others who will journey into the chemo room full of nerves and uncertainty. I hope that I can accomplish this. For Mama.
